Our Love Story

Our story began by chance on a trip neither of us expected would change our lives. We were both invited by mutual friends to celebrate birthdays in Atlantic City, New Jersey - and despite being part of the same group, Kenton and I had never met before that weekend. I was 21, newly out of a difficult relationship and focused on starting a competitive college program. Kenton, 24 at the time, was stepping away from his party phase and working toward personal and professional growth. Neither of us was looking for anything more than a fun weekend away.

The entire group stayed together at the Tropicana Hotel, and on our first night after dinner, everyone headed to the casino floor. Kenton and I quickly realized we weren’t big gamblers, so he asked if I wanted to grab a drink instead. We ended up at the 10 North Lounge - where we talked, laughed, and truly connected for hours… all the way until 4 a.m.

The next day, Kenton joked on the phone with friends and family back home that he hadn’t won any money in the casino, but said, “I’m bringing home a girl.” We both laughed, not realizing just how true that would become. From that point on, we kept finding ourselves side by side throughout the trip. Later that day, he asked if he could take me on a date while we were there. I said yes, and we spent the afternoon at the Pier, sharing lunch at Souzai Sushi and wandering the shops for hours, getting to know each other even more.

When it was time to leave Atlantic City, I was ready to say goodbye - assuming we had simply shared a really special weekend and would probably never see each other again. Instead, Kenton offered to drive me home. We took the long way back, riding the Cape May–Lewes ferry, soaking in every extra moment together. He even brought me to his family’s farm before later that evening taking me back to our friends’ house to get my car.

About a week later, he texted me and asked me out again - and the rest is history. We spent an unforgettable first summer together, never imagining then that we’d be standing here today, preparing to get married this October.

We are endlessly grateful that God brought us into each other’s lives, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together - surrounded by the love of our family and friends.

The Groom

Kenton Hall, 32, was born on January 30, 1994, to Richard “Rick” Hall and Kimberly “Kim” Hall. As the oldest of three, Kenton grew up alongside his younger brother, Kylan, and sister, Regan, taking on the role of big brother from an early age.

A proud third-generation chicken farmer, Kenton carries on a strong family tradition rooted in hard work and dedication. No matter the season, Kenton is always willing to lend a helping hand.

When he’s not working, Kenton enjoys playing pool with his team and friends, unwinding with video games, or tackling projects around the farm and what will soon be our future home. He is laid-back, fun-loving, and deeply family-oriented, with a heart that’s as big as his work ethic — especially when it comes to our beloved pets.

The Bride

Mallory Swift, 29, was born on March 9, 1997, to her mother, Linda Mills. As the oldest sibling, she grew up alongside her younger brother, Russell, learning early on the importance of responsibility, compassion, and family.

In her early years, Mallory was more reserved but always had a big heart. She loved helping her mom-mom, Ruth, around the house, running errands with her pop-pop, and even trying to convince her family to let her help care for sick or injured wildlife. Much of her childhood was spent learning to cook and bake alongside her mom-mom or tagging along with her mom, moments that helped shape her nurturing spirit.

As Mallory entered early adulthood, she grew into a more outgoing and confident version of herself, while still holding tightly to the strong family values she was raised with. Her love for caring for others — whether family, pets, or complete strangers — played a large role in her decision to return to school. She recently completed her nursing degree, a milestone that reflects her dedication, compassion, and desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
